Here are the comparative curves:

Image

Now for the temps:

system setup:

EVGA i680 - E6600/Apogee GTX - EVGA 8800 GTX/Stealth Rev2 at 649/1053 no vmod - MCP655 pump, MCR220 Rad (fans at 12v)

Since this was a bench setup, the temps are reported as "over ambient". We used ATI tool fury cube to place the VGA under load.

MCW60: 21.5 ºC over ambient
Stealth: 21.2 ºC over ambient
EK block: 23.7 ºC over ambient
Stealth Rev2: 19.5 ºC over ambient

Why does the MCW60 perform so much better?

The Stealth performs better, not the MCW60.

I am sorry, I should have been more specific.

Why does the MCW60 has such a lower pressure drop. I am currently using a MCW60 and I really like it. However, I don't like the bare memory modules and I don't like spending hours trying to get RAMsinks to stick, because they never do.

I was planning on getting one of these revision 2's. From what I understand, it is just a regular GPU core block with heatsinks attached to the block for RAM cooling. With that in mind, what makes it so restrictive?

Thanks, Paul
