ok! from my previous post! y had try another way of overclocking my cpu i started all over again!! since this morning and lowered my multiplier its on 7x! right know I have my FSB on 1990 and my cpu is running 3.48 stable! but heres the thing i dont know if this is a kiss from heaven or something bad! , my temps before I reached 1990 I had it on 1960 FSB an they wore 40 C idle and 52 full load on RMclock, on bios I had a temp of 34 Idle guessing a 45 C on full, but since I placed the FSB on 1990 I raised up my voltage a bit to get it stable but know im getting 29 C on bios idle and 36 C idle 48 full load on RMclock!! :S :S whats the catch!!???

higher clock speeds and extra voltage will mean extra heat output from the chip i would say 48full load aint that bad but i dont really know the thermal ceiling for core 2 duo chips. i wouldn't go off the temps in the bios because that just reads the actual temperature of the cpu itself and not the cores inside. coretemp, rmclock and everest usually give the most accurate temps from what ive seen. not sure what you mean by "whats the catch" everything seems fine from what you've written.

I only wrote that because I have lower temps than what i had before, but yeah Im going for 2000 FSB to get 3.5 Ghz, but everything is ok I just disabled Intel Virtualization Tech. not sure if it is that important, and disabled the spread spectrums.

You dont want to be OCing your CPU. As for your OC, its a bit high, you could just turn it down a little??
