First off I have an EVGA GTX 1070 and am about to place my order for a H140-X. My system is cooled by a H240-X and since I am OCing my 4930k the 240 is trying really hard when benching.I also prefer to keep my gpu and cpu in separate loops.
I have discovered that I need a mini pwm adapter cable of which is also in my cart from Swiftech. But it has a connection for the PWM splitter unit that comes with the H140-X and I do not plan on using that splitter (primarily because I do not have a good space to put it in.
Is there a good way to connect the H140=X to my gpu without having to use the PWM splitter? I do have a couple of open 4 pin fan control headers on my MB (though I am not sure they are true 4 pin headers). I also have a 4 pin splitter cable if needed (and one or two 3 pin splitters at that). I am running off of a Rampage IV black ed MB.
