Hello there,

I finally acquired the MCW82 GPU block and i have a doubt.

The installation manual is not telling which one of the barbs is inlet/outlet, guess both can work the same way ... though that, i couldn't find any official information nor in these forums about this. Only thing i found is to test it blowing air from each of the sides, i did it but with the fittings that will be in the block installed certainly i didn't notice any difference in the air quantity or the effort to pass the air, only thing i noticed is if i blow from the long side (where the hump is) air is getting out colder than if i blow from the short side.

Thing is for my tube management (MB is in BTX position) it will be a lot easier to make the short side the inlet, is this gonna is there any problem doing that though what i explained? Am i gonna be so flow restricted doing it?

Besides the MCW82 this is my setup right now:

Phobya DC12-400
Swiftech Apogee XT Rev.2
Swiftech MCR-220XP with push->pull (Tacens Ventus II ~ 78 CFM)
Swiftech Micro Res v2

And it's hooked as res->pump->block->rad->res ... and what i want to do for the new loop is res->pump->cpu block->gpu block->rad->res

Any help will be very appreciated, thanks in advance :)

hey there
There is no inlet or outlet on this block as both ports can be either in or out.
Just arrange your tube in the most convenient way for your loop and you'll be fine!

Stephen

Thank you so much Stephen!

Finally i hooked it up at the short side due to tube management as you said. First load tests are great!!! I didn't lost any performance on the CPU temps and the GPU temps are amazingly down by 10ºC on idle and 15º-18ºC under stress.

Great invest!!! :D
